JOIN THE FRIENDS OF UMASS PRESS

The University of Massachusetts Press has served communities of readers, scholars, and creative writers for the past 58 years. Gifts from generous individuals, alumni, students, and authors make it possible for us to publish timely and vital books—volumes that make a lasting impact on our society, the Commonwealth, and world.

Since its inception, the Press has sold more than 2,000,000 books and today it has over 1,000 titles in print. We publish innovative scholarship that explores the history, politics, literature, culture, and environment of the United States, as well as works with a transnational perspective. In addition, the Press also produces books for a general readership and in 2017 it launched a new trade imprint focused on New England, called Bright Leaf.

We invite you to join the Friends of UMass Press and welcome donations of any amount. Contributions help to underwrite important scholarship that does not recover its costs, support illustrated books and digital initiatives, fund learning opportunities for current UMass students, and make it possible for our backlist titles to remain in print. If you or your organization are interested in endowing an individual title, a book series, an internship, or a digital project, please contact us to discuss customized giving options.
