We are Chinese Music Association (CMA) , a Graduate Student Organization in University of Massachusetts (UMass) Amherst. Our aim is to promote inter-racial understanding, cultural diversity and multi racial harmony on the campus of UMass Amherst with adaptive and modified forms of performances of traditional arts, especially traditional Chinese music. Still Young is our annual music concert where we showcase both traditional Chinese music as well as how the traditional form of performance could adapt under modern pop music influence.
Each year, our concert draws crowds of students, faculty members and residents of New Hampshire both of Chinese and non Chinese race. All funds raised will first go to funding the concert, specifically the transportation of musical instruments from our own performers' apartments to school, food catering, school venue, sound and filming system, as well as publicizing materials. With every piece of YOUR help, we are able to deliver the best Chinese traditional music concert in Amherst, and we thank you for your contribution that make this event possible.
Any extra funds raised, will be used to facilitate more events, including culture festival, and partnering events at Smith College, Amherst College and more in the surrounding area. Apart from our own annual music concert, we have started hosting Chinese Culture Festival, which is a platform showcasing more of the Chinese culture than Chinese music.
Last year, Chinese Culture Festival welcomed the members of the UMass as well as the residents of Amherst. It was successful in providing an interactive platform for non-Chinese members of the community to experience Chinese culture, including but not limited to Chinese calligraphy (書法), Pitch-pot (touhu or 投壺) , Chinese Tea Ceremony (漢茶道) and more. 
We are also actively seeking opportunities to reach every member of the campus. During Chinese New Year (CNY), performances will be put on at UMass Dinning Commons. For last CNY, free calligraphy written with new year wishes were also given out at Franklin Dinning Common.
