The UMass Gospel Choir is a campus ministry, open to students who have a zeal and passion to spread God’s love through music. Our mission is to encourage, uplift and strengthen college students, through the message of Christ by ministering to His people. It is also to spread the message of hope throughout the community, by using Gospel music to minister in such a way that it brings comfort, joy, peace, unity, and above all, love.
One of our most significant means of propagating the gospel to all people, ranging from our campus to neighboring towns like Springfield all the way to Boston is through our Annual Gospel Concert. Our concert aims at creating a platform for everyone to come and have a taste of Christ, whether Christian or not, through the power of music. Usually at our concert we feature renowned gospel artists to create an uncommon opportunity for these students and attendees to meet artists of such caliber for free.
It will take place on Sunday, April 22 at 5:30 PM in the Campus Center Auditorium at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. All members of UMass community and the surrounding areas are welcome to come experience God’s presence on this night.
