THANK YOU! A final update about Fridays at Four

November 06, 2015

Thank you, one and all, generous supporters!

Our Fridays at Four program now has a comfortable nest egg that will allow us to fund visits from professionals in theater and related industries over the coming years. Thanks to your gifts, students will have opportunities to make connections and receive advice that will have a significant impact on their future careers.

We have a slate of new events in the works already and will be announcing them in a few weeks. If you're in the area for any of them, we invite you to stop by! In the meantime, here's a photo of our first Fridays at Four event of the year, a talk by Michael Graziano, who for many years was the producer of Broadway Cares Equity Fights AIDS.

Thank you!

Come see us in action!

October 07, 2015

Would you like to see what you're donating for? Please join us at 4 p.m. in the Curtain Theater this Friday for our first Fridays at Four event of the year — a talk by producer Michael Graziano, who for 20 years was the man behind Broadway Cares Equity Fights AIDS. He'll talk about his career, what he's doing now, and how he shaped his career.

Your donations will help make possible other guests of his caliber, and we're so grateful to all of you for helping us get to 53% of our goal! Can you help us do one more thing — can you share this fundraiser with your family and friends so that they can donate too? We'd really appreciate it!

Thank you!

What a week — 34% of the way

September 25, 2015

What a wonderful kick-off week we've had! We have received $1035 in donations from 15 generous souls, in amounts ranging from $5 to $500. It's truly an illustration of the way every amount can make a difference. Thanks to these 15 wonderful people, we are 34% of the way there, which is a wonderful beginning to a worthwhile campaign.

We do, of course, have that pesky remaining 66% to take care of. If you haven't given but you'd like to, well, here's your chance to make our second week of fundraising as awesome as our first! $5 or $500, we'd truly appreciate anything you could give!

$25

Pay for Transportation

$25 will go a long way toward covering the transportation costs for most guests speakers living in the New England area. Please consider a donation in this amount to help our guests get here.

$50

Help bring early-career alumni

A particular focus of Fridays at Four is connecting our students with alumni just a few years out of school to learn to navigate the college-to-career transition. Help us bring young alumni back for panel discussions on this topic.

$150

Put our guest up for the night

Many of the people we invite come from far enough away that getting home the same night of a talk is sometimes impossible. Being able to offer them a room at the Hotel UMass helps turn those maybes into yeses when we invite speakers.

$250

Honorarium for speaker

The top professionals in our field don't come for free. Your donation of $250 helps us secure speakers like artistic directors of major theaters.

$500

Pay the whole package

Pay for everything! A donation of $500 covers all costs associations with one speaker: transportation, accommodations, speaker fees, hospitality and associated expenses.
