Hi Everyone,
Thank you for coming to our page! We represent the UMass Amherst Archery Club, and we need your help! The Archery Club is a moderately sized club that allows people of all skills to come practice and improve their abilities. We practice on a grass field across from the Rec Center fields, near the waste treatment plant. We love our practice field, but it can make things difficult when it comes to equipment. Our biggest issue is arrows. No matter the skill level, shooting outdoors is troublesome for archery. Arrows are easily lost in the grass, and they also break very easily. As you can see in the pictures, our arrow supply is low for the amount of people that we have come to practice. We are down to 24 arrows that are still functional to use. Because of this, we need help buying new arrows for the upcoming season! With $300, we will be able to head to R&R; Sport Shop in Belchertown and buy practice arrows. Any amount that you can share with us will be greatly appreciated, and we want to keep you updated on our progress as well! Our goal is to eventually compete in a tournament with other local colleges, so your donations will help us prepare for that. We appreciate your support and look forward to updating you on our journey to becoming better archers!
Thanks,
The UMass Amherst Archery Club
If you are on campus, if you donate $5 you can choose any type of fruit, vegetable, or inanimate object you want to use as a target and we will record it and send you the video! If you are alumni or not on campus, we will send a video of us using the target over email. We also reserve the right to deem a target inappropriate to shoot.
We will shout you out on our UMass Archery Facebook group, as well as our own personal Facebook pages!
If you donate $25, we will put your name on our equipment shed! We will send you a picture of your name on the shed over email or facebook.
If you donate $50 to the project, we will put your name on one of our bows! We have a limited number of bows, and you will have a bow with only your name on it!
