The annual Life Sciences Graduate Research Symposium each year showcases the incredible diversity of life science research conducted by our very own graduate students. Last year's symposium was very successful and drew talks and posters from several departments, including Microbiology, Environmental Conservation, Organismic and Evolutionary Biology, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Neuroscience and Behavior, Psychology, Plant Biology, and Veterinary and Animal Sciences.
The goals of the symposium are to (1) bring together graduate students from all the life science disciplines in the College of Natural Sciences, (2) to learn about each other's research, (3) practice communicating your science to non-specialists, and (4) form a life science's graduate student network to help with collaboration.
This is a great opportunity for graduate students to practice communicating science to a broader audience and receive important feedback from faculty and postdocs. We hope you are able to contribute any amount to help continue holding this important event!
