Black Student Union

With the increase in racial biased incidents, specifically towards black students on campus, the Black Student Union is working hard to implement real change in the POC experience here at UMass. We will continue to work tirelessly until that goal is accomplished. We thank everyone for their support in light of the recent events that have taken place over the course of September.

That being said, to all those who have stood in solidarity with us we appreciate you. Many have reached out inquiring about various ways they can show their support. For individuals who have expressed interest in donating to the Black Student Union we are now accepting donations through our UMass Minute Fund. These funds will be used to continue to program, comfort and uplift the BSU community and our allies. The funds received from these incidents will be used in a collective effort with other organizations to continue to support our community. We thank you for your contributions.

Will I receive a receipt for my contribution?

Yes! The UMass Amherst Foundation will send you a receipt shortly after you make your gift.

Can I make my gift anonymously?

Absolutely. To make any gift anonymously, or for any other requests, simply note your preferences in the "Special Gifts Instructions or Comments" box at the bottom of the giving form.

Will my contribution be tax-deductible?

Yes! All philanthropic contributions to the UMass Amherst Foundation are tax-deductible. Our UMass Amherst Foundation Tax ID (EIN) is 54-2084125.

Your credit card will be charged immediately.

Can I support multiple areas of campus with one gift?

Yes, to make one gift that supports multiple areas of campus select the "Add a Gift to this Donation" drop-down if that option appears. If you don't see this option, select the "Other" option in the Fund Designation list and then provide the full breakdown of where you would like your gift to go in the Special Gift Instructions or Comments box on the donation page. If there is no "other" option in the Fund Designation list, you can still write in your gift breakdown in the comment box and we will be sure your gift is distributed to the areas of campus that you request.

Can I make my gift via PayPal or another e-wallet option?

Yes! At this time we are still working to add this functionality to all of our giving pages, but you can support any area of campus via PayPal (and soon-to-be Venmo and other e-wallets) on our other giving form.
