The Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department at UMass Amherst is looking to purchase our first ever universal robot. This new robot will be used in connection with the recently announced curriculum enhancements that are going to prepare our students for the fourth industrial revolution.

In combination with the trailblazing curriculum enhancements, this new robot will give students practical, hands-on experiences that will prepare them to be the future engineers and industry leaders that our world needs.

In order to purchase this universal robot, we need to raise $21,000. Thankfully Frank Riordan '91 has generously agreed to give $5,000 towards this project if our amazing community of supporters can come together to fund the remaining $16,000.
