Giving Thanks...For You!

November 28, 2016

We hope your Thanksgiving was a celebration of gratitude!  BDIC is grateful for your support of the Bright Idea Scholarship.  To see how your gift can make a difference, we received the following message from Parker Burr '15, who received an entrepreneurship scholarship from BDIC to start his business, Feat Socks:

"FEAT Socks has moved out to Los Angeles, CA and we are currently on track to do over $3m in revenue! Last month we sold $100k online, this month we will do $250k!  We now sell dress socks, athletic socks, wool socks, no-show socks, and did an endorsement deal with Massachusetts Olympian Aly Raisman. Her signature line has been doing GREAT."

The idea for FEAT socks was launched among a group of BDIC students in a UMass Amherst dorm room. Your generous gift will light up the bright ideas and big dreams of other BDIC student-entrepreneurs.

Please share this campaign on social media with other BDIC alumni so we can make it to our goal! Thank you!

Let's keep the momentum going!

November 18, 2016

It’s been one week since the BDIC Bright Idea Scholarship drive launched and we’ve already raised $615 from 12 donors.  Thank you!

The key to us achieving our goal is spreading the word to as many BDIC alumni as possible. Please share this project on your social media accounts and keep the momentum going!

Off to a great start!

November 14, 2016

Thank you for your contribution to the BDIC Bright Idea Scholarship!

We're off to a great start with 7% of our goal funded. In addition, we heard from an alumnus that he has made a contribution of $125 through his charitable gift fund. With that gift, we have actually raised $270, which means we are actually at 13% funded!

Please keep the momentum going by sharing the story of your gift on your social media accounts.  Thank you!
