George N. Parks Scholarship Endowment

When George Parks arrived at UMass in 1977 he quickly became instrumental in building the 180-member band into one of the best collegiate marching bands in the country. 

An incredibly charismatic leader, Prof. Parks motivated individuals to be the very best, leaving behind a legacy that continues today. 

Once established, the George N. Parks Endowed Scholarship Fund will provide yearly scholarship support to members of the Minuteman Marching Band who strive to be their very best and will remain an ongoing honor to Prof. Parks and his legacy every year.
