Club Tennis #JourneytoGold

The UMass Tennis Club has earned it's second consecutive bid to the USTA National Tennis Tournament. It is a phenomenal honor, however it comes with added expenses. Being the only public school in New England to qualify (accompanied by private, mainly Ivy League schools) we are given the added challenge of raising the necessary funding by a variety of means. All funding will be put to use whether towards travel (rental car and gas), food and water, or lodging. Although we have applied to many grants (pending approval) it a a competitive process and in no way guaranteed. Thus, we implore our friends and families to help support the home team in pursuit of a National Championship. This is our #JourneyToGold!

Breakdown of needed Funds:

$275 for our team registration fee

$500 to cover gas costs to drive down to Cary, NC

~$1800 for 4 nights in the tournament hotel

~$900 for food costs during the tournament

$10

Feed a player!

Unfortunately UMass meal plan swipes won't work while we are in Cary. This donation will help cover the costs of a meal or two for a player when we are at nationals.

$25

Registration!

We have to pay a registration fee for the team and this donation will cover the costs of registration for 1 player.

$50

Fuel the trip!

It takes a lot of gas to get everyone down to North Carolina. This donation will cover the fuel costs for 1 player for the entire trip.

$125

A place to stay!

We need a place to stay during the trip and are going to stay in the tournament hotel. We got a deal on the rooms but it is still our biggest expense. This donation will cover almost all the hotel costs for 1 player during our time at nationals.

$350

Send a Minuteman to Cary

This generous donation will cover all the costs required to send one player to the Tennis on Campus national tournament.
