Lang Global Scholars Fund

Cost makes many lower-income students miss out on the benefits of a study abroad experience. Imagine if we could remove financial barriers so that students from any background could learn overseas? Since 2007, Commonwealth Honors College’s International Scholars Program (ISP) has served Honors students who wish to include international study in their academics.

ISP students learn the cultural competencies they need to thrive in a culture different than their own and how to integrate that experience effectively into their senior thesis or project.

The Lang Global Scholars Award, named in honor of the longtime director of ISP is for students in the program with financial need. Since 2018 we have provided scholarships to four Honors students who have had the life-changing experience of studying in another part of the world. This is all due to the generosity of ISP alumni and friends.

This year, we invite you to join our community of supporters who are committed to providing access to study abroad and/or wish to honor the work of Timothy Lang. Gifts in any amount will mean the world to a student with need. Thank you!
