Hello donors,

Today marks the end of our Lake Atlantic Invitational Surf Competition. This event was beyond our wildest dreams, and we cannot thank you enough for having a hand in making this competition happen. With the help of your donations, we were able to hire essential personnel, custom order amazing trophies, make some rad t-shirts, and have an amazing time on the beach. The competition featured about 20 surfers with over 50 spectators on the beach. We had local media come out from Good Morning Gloucester, the Boston Globe and even had professional drone footage captured. Keep your eye out for these media outlets to post competition coverage! 

Local high-schoolers Colby Kelly and Rhodes Cole placed first and second in the competition. John Lane from Bowdoin College traveled down to Gloucester and captured third place. And our very own President, Peter Roy, advanced to the final heat and placed fourth! 

We are waiting for some awesome, high-quality pictures to be uploaded in the next few days. In the meantime, check out our trophies and top finishers!

UMass Surd Club

Wow... after one week of posting this fundraiser we have reached 100% of our goal. From everyone in Surf Club, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We could not have imagined reaching our goal so fast, and with so many supporters! Meeting our goal means that we will be able to acquire necessary equipment and hire essential personnel, ultimately making the competition as successful as possible. THANKS AGAIN!!! 

After 24 hours of posting our fundraiser, we are already a quarter way to meeting our goal! Thank you to everyone who has donated. Your generosity is helping us to make this event successful. We cannot wait to host this competition and show everyone what all our hard work and planning is going to.
